Headlight - Pair - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Enable Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE)
  3. Remove the underhood storage unit access panel. See Access Panel - Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace)
  5. Remove the front fascia. See FASCIA - FRONT (REMOVE AND INSTALL)
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the LH headlight.
    NOTE:

    If the connector has a red locking tab: DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

  7. Remove the fastener(s) that attach the LH headlight to the body.
    NOTE: The headlight might not be equipped with a lower fastener.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T30 socket
    • 1/4 in std flex head ratchet
    • 1/4 in flex head torque wrench (installation only)

  8. Remove the headlight from the vehicle.
  9. Repeat steps  6 through  8 for the RH side headlight.
