Stanchion - Active Spoiler - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the active spoiler applique APPLIQUE - SPOILER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Remove the middle liftgate trim Trim - Liftgate - Middle (Remove And Replace) .
  3. Remove the LH and RH side liftgate trims Trim - Liftgate - Side - LH (Remove And Replace) .
    NOTE: If removing the RH active spoiler stanchion, it is not necessary to remove the LH side liftgate trim.
  4. Remove the LH and RH catch basin covers.
    NOTE: If removing the RH active spoiler stanchion, it is not necessary to remove the LH catch basin cover.
  5. On the RH side of the liftgate, disconnect the high mounted brake light electrical connector.

  6. Close the liftgate.
  7. On the RH side of the active spoiler, pull the harness for the high mounted brake light through the hole in the active spoiler stanchion.

  8. Remove the fasteners (x4) that attach the active spoiler to the active spoiler stanchions (torque 6 N.m).

  9. Remove the active spoiler assembly from the top of the active spoiler stanchions.
  10. Open the liftgate.
  11. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the active spoiler stanchion to the hinges (torque 6 N.m).
    NOTE: Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.

  12. Remove the LH active spoiler stanchion from the vehicle.

  13. Close the liftgate.
