Seal - Primary - Rear Door - LH - Adjust: Adjust

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damage to paintwork and exterior trim.

If the vehicle is equipped with plastic race track trim, gently separate the plastic trim from the vehicle spine.
NOTE: Do not remove the race track trim.
Use a heat gun on the lowest setting to warm the primary seal at the spine, and soften the adhesive.
CAUTION: Make sure to keep the heat gun moving, to prevent overheating or burning any one spot on the vehicle.

Carefully and incrementally separate the primary seal from the body at the spine.
NOTE: If the primary seal is damaged, replace the seal SEAL - PRIMARY - REAR DOOR - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .

Use IPA wipes to clean the adhesive from under the primary seal, and allow at least 1 minute to dry.
Reposition the upper sides of the primary seal so that the flat outer edge of the primary seal is 42 mm from the body along the spine.
NOTE: Warm the primary seal and butyl compound to accommodate placement of the seal.
Apply a uniform 3 mm continuous bead of weather strip adhesive under the primary seal and allow the adhesive to become tacky before setting the seal.

Use the ruler to position the primary seal so that the flat outer edge of the primary seal is 42 mm from the body along the spine.

Use a seam roller to apply even pressure and set the seal.
CAUTION: Take care not to damage component(s).

Use IPA wipes to clean any visible adhesive from the race track trim.
If the vehicle is equipped with plastic race track trim, gently attach the plastic trim to the vehicle spine.
Use the ultrasonic leak detector to verify the adjusted primary seal's compliance.
