Remove And Replace

  1. Open LH rear door and lower the window
    NOTE: Ensure window is fully lowered

  2. Open hood
    NOTE: Using MCU touchscreen > Controls > Frunk Trunk

  3. Remove underhood aprons

  4. Remove frunk carpet
    NOTE: 2x connectors

  5. Remove underhood storage unit
    NOTE: 10x bolts, 10 mm, 4 N.m, 10x bolts, 10 mm, 7 N.m

  6. Remove HEPA filter
    NOTE: Lift up from bottom and pull out

  7. Move LH 2nd row seat fully forward using easy entry mode

  8. Remove LH falcon door lower garnish
    NOTE: 9x V-clips, Replace any damaged or missing V-clips, Take care not to damage door trim panel during removal

  9. Remove LH upper falcon door trim
    NOTE: 17x clips, 1x connector may be present on early production vehicles

  10. Remove LH upper outer falcon door rear trim
    NOTE: 5x bolts, T25, 2.5 N.m, 4.0 N.m, 1x harness clip, Fastener count may vary

  14. Lower LH falcon door
    NOTE: May need to assist the door to close

  16. Set LH Falcon door fully open

  17. Support the rear door
    NOTE: May need assist to open

  18. Power down vehicle using MCU
    NOTE: Via Controls > Safety & Security > "Power off"

  19. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and First Responder Loop
    NOTE: 1x nut, 10 mm, 5 N.m, 1x connector, Wait at least 2 minutes before disconnecting modules or HV components

  20. Disconnect LH rear secondary strut
    NOTE: 1x connector, Black

  24. Remove the rear primary strut from upper falcon door

  26. Remove the front bump stop
    NOTE: 2x bolts, 10 mm, 8 N.m, 1x bolt, T30, 5 N.m, Mark or remember the position of the bump stop to aid the installation process

  27. Remove the rear bump stop
    NOTE: 2x bolts, 10 mm, 8 N.m, 1x bolt, T30, 5 N.m, Mark or remember the position of the bump stop to aid the installation process

  28. Remove the upper falcon door NVH seal
    NOTE: Make a cut in the seal and remove from the perimeter of the door, Try to remove as much double sided tape with the seal as possible

  29. Remove any double side tape or adhesive from upper falcon door
    NOTE: Roll the residual adhesive manually for best results

  30. Position NVH seal for installation
    NOTE: Slide seal over the lower falcon door assembly to the cavity between upper and lower falcon door

  31. Use IPA to clean NVH seal area of the upper falcon door
    NOTE: Allow 1 minute for IPA to dry

  32. Place falcon door NVH seal around perimeter of upper door frame and tape in position

  33. Install new upper falcon door NVH seal to upper falcon door
    NOTE: 8x Double-sided tape sections, Seat inner corners first and finish on an edge, Press firmly to wet-out seal, Remove blue tape as needed

  34. Install LH front upper falcon door bumpstop assembly
    NOTE: 2x bolts, 10 mm, 8 N.m, 1x screw, T30, 5 N.m

    NOTE: 1x C-clip, 1x harness clip, Door may need to be lifted to align strut, Recommend assistance
