Latch - Liftgate - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the middle liftgate trim Trim - Liftgate - Middle (Remove And Replace) .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the liftgate latch.
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the liftgate latch to the liftgate (torque 10 N.m).

  4. Unhook the cinching cable from the eyelet on the latch assembly.

  5. Use a pick to release the cinching cable from the retaining clip on the latch assembly.

  6. Remove the liftgate latch assembly from the vehicle.
