Strut - Rear Door - Secondary - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Apply protective tape onto the racetrack trim to prevent damage.
  2. Remove the upper door trim bracket:
  3. Support the rear door.
    WARNING: Make sure that the door is supported in the fully up position before continuing. Either have an assistant manually support the full weight of the door or use a pole jack.
  4. Release both struts from the body, and rotate the struts outwards.
    WARNING: The door is now able to be lifted higher. Keep the door in the fully up position.
  5. Release the strut to be replaced from the door.
  6. Disconnect the secondary strut harness from the strut.
  7. Release the clips that secure the harness to the body.
  8. Remove the strut from the vehicle.
WARNING: Continue to support the door in the fully up position.
