Hinge - Hood - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the LH underhood apron Underhood Apron - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  2. Remove the push clip that secures the plastic trim piece. Pull the trim piece towards the rear of the vehicle and maneuver it around the hood hinge to remove it from the vehicle.

  3. Release the clip and disconnect the strut from the ball joint on the hood hinge.

  4. Mark the installed position of the hood hinge to the body of the vehicle.
  5. Remove the bolts (x3) that secure the LH hood hinge to the body of the vehicle (torque 24 N.m).
  6. Remove the hood hinge from the vehicle.
