Hinge - Door - Front - Upper - LH - Remove and Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit. See UNDERHOOD STORAGE UNIT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Remove the HEPA filter. See FILTER - HEPA (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  3. Disconnect 12V power. See DISCONNECT 12V POWER .
  4. Apply tape to the door and body to the mark the location of the LH upper door hinge to aid during installation.

  5. Apply tape to the rear part of the LH front fender.

  6. Remove the LH front door drive unit arm from the door hinge.

  7. Remove the ball cap from the LH front door drive unit arm.

  8. Support the LH front door with a floor jack.
    CAUTION: Put a soft object in between the floor jack's saddle and the door to prevent damage to the paint.

  9. Remove the LH front door upper hinge bolts (x2) from the door assembly (torque 24 N.m).

  10. Remove the LH front door upper hinge bolts (x3) from the body (torque 25 N.m).

  11. Remove the LH front door upper hinge from the vehicle.
