Hinge - Door - Front - Lower - LH - Remove and Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit. See UNDERHOOD STORAGE UNIT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Remove the HEPA filter. See FILTER - HEPA (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  3. Disconnect 12V power. See DISCONNECT 12V POWER .
  4. Apply tape to the door and body to mark the location of the LH lower door hinge to aid during installation.

  5. Apply tape to the rear part of the LH front fender.

  6. Support the LH front door with a floor jack.
    CAUTION: Put a soft object in between the floor jack's saddle and the door to prevent damage to the paint.

  7. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front door lower hinge to the door assembly (torque 24 N.m).

  8. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front door lower hinge to the body (torque 25 N.m).

  9. Remove the LH front lower door hinge.
