C-Clips - Strut - Hood - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - CENTER - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  3. Remove the LH underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  4. Support the hood with a prop.
  5. Release the clip securing the gas strut to the body, and then remove the strut from the ball joint.

  6. Release the clip securing the gas strut to the hood, remove the strut from the ball joint, and then remove the strut from the vehicle.

  7. Remove the clips (x2) from the LH hood gas strut.
