Bracket - Apron Attachment - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal

Open the hood for access.
Remove the LH underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
Use a clip prytool to release the clips that attaches the LH outer hood hinge cover.

Use a drill with a 19 mm bit to remove and discard the top of the rivet that attaches the apron attachment bracket to the vehicle.
WARNING: To avoid personal injury, eye protection must be worn when performing this operation.

Use a 4 mm pin punch and ball peen hammer to remove and discard the bottom portion of the rivet that attaches the apron attachment bracket to the vehicle.
Tip: Use a 19 mm socket to support LH apron attachment bracket against the body while removing the bottom of the rivet.

Use a 10 mm deep socket to remove the bolt that attaches the LH apron attachment bracket to the body (torque 8 N.m).

Remove the LH apron attachment bracket from the vehicle.
