Fan - Cushion - Driver Seat - Remove and Replace: Removal

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the window.

  2. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect And Disconnect) .
  3. Select the Dashboards  tab and search for "Infotainment".
  4. In the Infotainment  dashboard, select the Vehicle Configuration  tab and read the configuration for "seat_vent".
    NOTE: If fans are Futuris, they must be replaced in pairs by Kongsberg fans. For backrest fan replacement, see FAN - BACKREST - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE & REPLACE) .
    NOTE: If fans are Kongsberg, they can be replaced individually.
  5. Move the LH front seat backward and raise the seat to the highest position.
  6. Disconnect the LH front seat cushion fan connector and the harness clip.

  7. Release the clips (x2) and tabs (x2) that attach the LH front seat cushion fan to the seat cushion fan assembly.
    NOTE: Pry at the front of the seat cushion fan and pull downward to release the seat cushion fan.
