Nut Plate - 2nd Row Seat - Rear - Remove And Replace: Removal
- Remove the B-Pillar lower trim Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the 2nd row front floor panel Floor Panel - 2nd Row - Front (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the LH and RH outer 2nd row seats SEAT ASSEMBLY - 2ND ROW - LH (WITHOUT 2ND ROW BENCH SEATS) (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
- Remove the center 2nd row seat SEAT ASSEMBLY - 2ND ROW - CENTER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the foam spacers.
- Use a drill with a 3/16 in (4.5 mm) bit to drill out the rivets that attach the nut plate to the rear seat front crossmember.
Front nut plate shown, rear nut plate similar - Mark a cut line 1 in (25 mm) from the end of the crossmember to provide enough clearance to remove and install the nut plate.
- Use an air saw to cut the crossmember on the cut line marked in the previous step.
- Use a screwdriver or similar tool to push the nut plate to the outboard side of the vehicle.
- Remove and discard the original nut plate.
