Trim - Back Rest - 2nd Row - RH (Bench Seat) - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Open all doors and the liftgate.
  2. If the vehicle has a 5-passenger configuration, remove the rear trunk load floor panel and the gap hider.
  3. Move both front seats forward.
  4. Disconnect the 12V power. See DISCONNECT 12V POWER .
  5. Push the outer side of the RH seat cushion inward and loosen the spring clip of the seat assembly release handle, and then remove the release handle.

  6. Release the push clip at the front of the outer side seat trim and loosen the bolt at the rear (torque 2.5 N.m), and then remove the outer side trim.

  7. Loosen the bolt (torque 45 N.m) of the RH seat belt, and then remove the seat belt from the RH seat.
  8. Remove the RH seat belt escutcheon.

  9. Reinstall the release handle, and then fold down the RH back rest.
    NOTE: Install the release handle without the spring clip.
  10. Remove the back board. See BACK BOARD - SEAT BACK - 2ND ROW - RH (BENCH SEAT) 
  11. Unfold the seat, and then move the back trim subassembly retention band under the seat frame.

  12. Push the bottom of the seat back trim forward.

  13. Lift up the top part of the seat back trim, feed the seat belt through the seat cushion pass through, and then remove the back trim from the seat frame.
