Display - Instrument Cluster (Tegra) - Remove And Replace: Installation
- Transfer the larger ribbon cable to the new display by inserting the correct end of the ribbon cable into the connector and then closing the locking tabs. Make sure the ribbon cable is secured.NOTE: The ribbon cable is marked with "DISPLAY" and "PCBA" to assist with orientation. Make sure the natural bend in the ribbon cable makes the PCBA side curl towards the inner side of the assembly.
- Carefully maneuver the housing assembly onto the new display, guiding the ribbon cables through the openings in the housing assembly.
- Install a new screw that attaches the display to the housing assembly (torque 0.5 N.m).
- Using the dowel pins on the housing assembly as a guide, align the 3 pins to place the circuit board in place on the housing assembly.
- Install new screws (x6) that attach the circuit board to the housing assembly (torque 0.5 N.m).
- Connect the larger ribbon cable to the circuit board. Make sure that the ribbon cable is secure and that the locks are closed.
- Connect the smaller ribbon cable to the circuit board. Make sure that the ribbon cable is secure and that the locks are closed.
- Install the instrument cluster rear cover by aligning the alignment pins then lowering the bottom of the back cover down.
- Install new screws (x2) that attach the bottom of the rear cover to the housing assembly (torque 0.5 N.m).
- Install the instrument cluster, refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
