Wiper Motor Assembly (RHD) - Remove And Replace: Removal
- Open the RH front door.
- Remove the rear center underhood apron Underhood Apron - Center - Rear (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the HEPA filter Filter - HEPA (Remove And Replace) .
- Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal clamp (torque 5 N.m).
- Disconnect the first responder loop.CAUTION: Do not cut the first responder loop.
- Disconnect the washer hose from the nipple on the LH side of the vehicle.
- Lift up the front of the cowl screen and release the drain hose.
- Disconnect the wiper arm hoses from the cowl screen.
- Remove the nuts (x3) (torque 17 N.m) that attach the wiper arms to the coil screen.
- Remove the clips (x2) on the LH and RH outer hood hinge covers, and then remove the covers.
- Remove the push pins (x5) that secure the cowl screen to the vehicle, and then move the cowl screen away from the windshield.
- Remove the clip (x1) that attaches the HEPA filter duct to the vehicle, and then remove the duct.
- Remove the clips and the bolt (torque 9 N.m) that secure the cowl screen support bracket to the body, and then remove the cowl screen support bracket from the vehicle.
- Release the bolts (x3) (torque 9 N.m) that secure the wiper motor assembly to the body.
- Gently pull the wiper motor assembly forward, and then disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
- Remove the wiper motor assembly from the vehicle.
