Wiper Arm - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal

NOTE: Images show both wiper arms for convenience.
  1. Remove the rear center underhood apron Underhood Apron - Center - Rear (Remove And Replace) .
  2. At the base of the wiper arm, disconnect the washer hose from the cowl screen.

  3. Release the nut(s) that secure the wiper arm (torque 35 N.m), but do not fully remove the arm at this time.

  4. Place the base of the wiper arm removal tool under the wiper arm and position the set screw so that it is centered and touching the wiper arm stud, and then tighten the set screw until the wiper arm is released.
    CAUTION: Removing the wiper arm without the wiper arm removal tool can result in damage to the wiper arm or wiper motor.

  5. Remove the wiper arm.
    NOTE: The washer jet hose is removed with the arm.
