- Raise and support the vehicle. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 POST LIFT
.
- Remove the mid aero shield panel. See PANEL - AERO SHIELD - MID (REMOVE AND REPLACE)
.
WARNING:
Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and insulating HV gloves with a minimum rating of class 0 (1000V) must be worn while performing the remainder of this procedure.
WARNING:
Ensure that the multimeter and leads are capable of handling at least 500V.
- Disconnect the low voltage harness, then release the bolt and remove the orange drive inverter cover (torque 3 N.m).

- Remove both O-rings from the drive inverter cover and discard.
- Empty all pockets and remove all metal items from your body.
- Inspect the HV insulating gloves for damage.
- Put on the HV insulating gloves, and then put on the leather over gloves.
- Using the drive inverter case as a chassis ground, measure the following voltages:
- B+ to ground
- B- to ground
- B+ to B-
WARNING:
If any voltage reading is more than 10V, the High Voltage (HV) contactors are not fully opened. Due to the risk of electrocution, contact Service Engineering before performing any further work.
- Return to the procedure that required the isolation check.
- When repairs are complete, replace components that were removed for access.
NOTE:
Install new O-rings on the drive inverter cover; apply silicone lubricant.
NOTE:
Install the rear-facing part of the cover first to prevent pinching the O-rings.
