Assembly - Frame - Instrument Cluster - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the lower dash trim TRIM - DASH - DRIVER'S SIDE - LOWER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Release the clips (x4) that secure the binnacle cover panel. Remove the binnacle cover panel.
    CAUTION: Take care not to damage component(s).
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the top pad to the instrument panel carrier (torque 1.2 N.m).

  4. Cover the chrome strips at the base of the top pad with tape.
    CAUTION: If the aluminum strips are not covered with tape, they may be damaged when the top pad is removed in later steps.
  5. Gently lift up on the left side of the top pad to release the clips. Use a small wedge or other object to prop it up.
    CAUTION: Take care not to damage component(s).
  6. Release the clips (x2) that secure the steering column cover to the instrument cluster bezel.

  7. Remove screws (x4) that secure the instrument cluster frame to dash (torque 2.3 N.m).

  8. Remove the instrument cluster frame from the vehicle.
