- Remove the lower dash trim TRIM - DASH - DRIVER'S SIDE - LOWER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Release the clips (x4) that secure the binnacle cover panel. Remove the binnacle cover panel.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage component(s).
- Remove the screws (x2) that secure the top pad to the instrument panel carrier (torque 1.2 N.m).

- Cover the chrome strips at the base of the top pad with tape.
CAUTION:
If the aluminum strips are not covered with tape, they may be damaged when the top pad is removed in later steps.
- Gently lift up on the left side of the top pad to release the clips. Use a small wedge or other object to prop it up.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage component(s).
- Release the clips (x2) that secure the steering column cover to the instrument cluster bezel.

- Remove the instrument cluster frame from the vehicle.
