Tuner - Radio (RHD) - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the EPA filter. See FILTER - EPA (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power .
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal. See Accelerator (Remove And Replace) .
  4. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the OBEID connector to the tuner bracket, and then remove the connector from the bracket (torque 2.3 N.m).

  5. Disconnect the electrical harness from the premium amplifier connector, if equipped.

  6. Remove steering column. See Steering Column (Remove And Replace) .
  7. Remove brake pedal. See Brake Pedal (Remove And Replace) .
  8. Release the clips (x2) that attach the main electrical harness to the bulkhead, and move the harness away from the radio tuner.

  9. Release the edge clip that attaches the front electrical harness to the body, and move the harness away from the radio tuner.

  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the radio tuner.

  11. Release the fir tree clips hx that attach the electrical harness to the vehicle, and then move the electrical harness to the side.

  12. Remove the bolt (torque 6 N.m), and then remove and discard the screws (x2) that attach the amplifier/tuner bracket to the body (torque 9 N.m).

  13. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the amplifier/tuner bracket (torque 6 N.m).

  14. Move the amplifier/tuner bracket assembly out through the bottom of the IP carrier, and then remove the assembly from the vehicle.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to pinch or damage any wires.

    Tip: Rotate the bracket assembly to different angles to ease removal.

  15. Remove and discard the screws (x4) that attach the radio tuner to the amplifier/tuner bracket (torque 4 N.m), and then remove the radio tuner from the bracket.
