Trim - Cushion - Driver Seat - Remove and Replace: Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle. See SEAT ASSEMBLY - 1ST ROW (LH) - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  3. Remove the driver seat outboard side shield. See SIDE SHIELD - OUTBOARD - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  4. Remove the driver seat inboard side shield. See SIDE SHIELD - INBOARD - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  5. Position the seat on its seat back to access the underside of the seat cushion.
    CAUTION: Protect the seat back as necessary.
  6. Unhook the clips that attach the lower section of the seat back trim and move the seat back flap away from the working area.

  7. Disconnect seat occupied sensor connector.

  8. Release the clip that attaches the seat occupied sensor to the seat underside, and then separate the sensor from the seat underside.

  9. Disconnect the seat cushion heat pad connector, and then separate the connector from the seat underside.

  10. Release the clips (x2) that attach the seat cushion foam to the seat suspension.

  11. Release the clip strips (x3) that attach the seat cushion trim to the seat cushion frame at the front, inboard, and outboard sides, and then remove the foam from the frame.

    CAUTION: Make sure that the seat cushion heater mat connector and the seat occupied sensor assembly do not catch on the seat suspension or frame.
  12. Return the seat to the upright position.
  13. Remove the seat cushion foam pad assembly from the seat frame assembly.
  14. Release the strap that attaches the seat cushion trim to the foam pad.

  15. Remove the clips (x18) or the Velcro that attach the seat cushion trim to the foam pad, and then remove the trim from the foam pad.
