2nd Generation vehicles: Removal

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit Underhood Storage Unit (Remove And Install) .
  2. Disconnect the harness from the LH side of the latch.

  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the latch to the crossmember (torque 10 N.m).

  4. Carefully lift the latch assembly and disconnect the hood latch cables (x2).
  5. Remove the latch assembly from the vehicle.
