- Remove the driver's headrest trim, refer to TRIM - HEADREST - DRIVER'S (PREMIUM SEATS) (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Disconnect 12V power Disconnect 12V Power
- Carefully cut the cable tie that secures the headrest motor harness to the LH seat frame.

- Disconnect the headrest motor electrical connector.

- Remove the screws (x2) that secure the headrest trim to the seat (torque 1.5 N.m).
NOTE:
The following image shows the headrest trim still installed.

- Remove the side cover from the seat backing.

- On each side of the seat, remove the fastener cover.

- On each side of the seat, remove the fastener that secures the backing (torque 1.5 N.m).

- Remove the screws (x6) that secure the headrest frame plate to the seat frame (torque 1.5 N.m).
CAUTION:
Take care not to overtorque the screws.

- Use a trim tool to release the clips (x6) that secure the back rest trim and foam to the seat frame.

NOTE:
The back rest trim and foam hang forward, away from the working area.

- Release the clips (x3) that secure the headrest frame plate to the seat frame. Remove the headrest frame plate.
- Remove and discard the screws (x4) that secure the headrest actuator assembly to the seat frame (torque 8 N.m).

- Remove the headrest actuator assembly from the vehicle and place it on a soft, clean surface.
- Release the headrest motor plate from the headrest actuator assembly.
