Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH - Remove And Replace: Removal
- Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim, refer to TRIM - B-PILLAR - LOWER - LH (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
- Use a trim tool to remove the plastic cap that covers the pretensioner anchor bolt on the LH 1st row seatbelt.
- Remove the anchor bolt and inboard upper pretensioner cover (torque 9 N.m).CAUTION: Replace all patchbolt(s).
- Discard the anchor bolt and inboard upper pretensioner cover.
- Carefully release the seatbelt assembly from the outer pretensioner cover.
- Wrap the seatbelt connector with protective tape to prevent it from damaging interior trim.
- Carefully release the clips that secure the B-pillar upper trim to the body. Gently pull the lower edge away from the body and release the locator posts from the headliner.CAUTION: Take care not to damage component(s).
- Allow the B-pillar upper trim to rest on the seatbelt buckle.
- Remove the screws (x3) that secure the seatbelt guide to the B-pillar trim.
- Route the seatbelt and seatbelt guide through the B-pillar trim.
- Remove the B-pillar trim.
