Sensor - Parking Distance - Outer - Rear - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Set the air suspension to the Very High  , and then turn on Jack Mode  .
  3. Remove the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the LH rear quarter panel (torque 1.5 N.m).

  4. Apply masking tape to the edge of the LH rear quarter panel that is adjacent to the rear fascia.

  5. Carefully pull the LH end of the rear fascia away from the vehicle so that the outer parking distance sensor can be accessed.

  6. Release the locking tab, and then disconnect the electrical harness from the parking distance sensor.

  7. Carefully release the tabs that attach the parking sensor to the fascia bracket, and then remove the sensor from the bracket.

    Tip: If needed, use a pick or small flat head screwdriver to carefully release the bracket tabs.

    NOTE: Make sure the sensor retainer ring is also removed.

  8. If reusing the retainer ring, remove the retainer ring and inspect for damage.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse the ring if it is overly worn or damaged.
