DTC Troubleshooting

DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES REFERENCE CHART

Step Action YES NO
1  Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK .
2  DTC Check 
  1. Check DTC.

Is there DTC(s) other than DTC P0506 and DTC P0507 detected? 		 Go to applicable DTC(s). Go to Step 3.
3  Idle speed check 
  1. Check idle speed. Refer to Idle Speed and IAC Throttle Valve Opening Inspection .

Is it in good condition? 		 Check for intermittent. Refer to INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTION INSPECTION . Go to Step 4.
4  Air intake system check 
  1. Check air intake system for clogging and air inhibit.

Is it in good condition? 		 Go to Step 5. Repair or replace defection parts.
5  Fuel system check 
  1. Check fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM INSPECTION .

Is check result satisfactory? 		 Go to Step 6. Repair or replace defective parts or wire harness.
6  Throttle body check 
  1. Check throttle valve for operation. Refer to ELECTRIC THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .

Is it in good condition? 		 Go to Step 7. Repair or replace defective parts.
7  Engine mechanical check 
  1. Check engine mechanical for performance. Refer to ENGINE SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS .

Is it in good condition? 		 Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK . Repair or replace defective parts.
