Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to [COMBINATION METER: WIRING DIAGRAM ].

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE CHART

Step Action YES NO
1  CHECK OIL PRESSURE WARNING LAMP 
Perform IPDM E/R auto active test. Refer to [DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (IPDM E/R): DIAGNOSIS DESCRIPTION ]
Is oil pressure warning lamp illuminated? 		 GO TO 2 Replace combination meter. Refer to [COMBINATION METER: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ].
2  CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT VOLTAGE 
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

  1. 2. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
  2. 3. Turn ignition switch ON.
  3. 4. Check voltage between the oil pressure switch harness connector E208 (VQ40DE) or F4 (QR25DE) terminal 1 and ground.

    1 - Ground: Approx. 12V 


Is the inspection result normal? 		 GO TO 3 GO TO 4
3  CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH 
Perform a unit check for the oil pressure switch. Refer to [OIL PRESSURE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT CHECK ].
Is the inspection result normal? 		 Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to [IPDM E/R (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE ENGINE ROOM): REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ] Replace oil pressure switch.
4  CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT 
Check the oil pressure switch signal circuit. Refer to [OIL PRESSURE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT CHECK ].
Is the inspection result normal? 		 Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to [IPDM E/R (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE ENGINE ROOM): REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ] Repair harness or connector.
