ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) METER SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS

Condition	Possible cause	Correction / Reference Item
Engine coolant temperature (ECT) meter shows no operation or incorrect operation	Circuit fuse blown	Replace fuse and check for short circuit.
	ECT sensor faulty	Check ECT sensor referring to ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION .
	ECM-METER signal circuit faulty	Check ECM-METER signal circuit.
	Wiring or grounding faulty	Repair circuit.
	Combination meter faulty	Replace combination meter.
	HVAC control module faulty (Auto A/C model only)	Check HVAC control module referring to INSPECTION OF HVAC CONTROL MODULE AND ITS CIRCUIT .
	ECM faulty	Check ECM circuit referring to INSPECTION OF ECM AND ITS CIRCUITS .
