Instrument Panel Removal And Installation: Installation
Install instrument panel by reversing removal procedure, noting the following items.
- When installing each part, be careful not to catch wiring harness.
- Tighten instrument panel bolt to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Instrument panel bolt: 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lb-ft)
- When installing steering column assembly, refer to STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Enable air bag system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM (Grand Vitara) or DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM (XL-7).
- When installing center garnish, align rubber bushing (1) with BCM installation hole (2) of instrument panel member (3).
