Master Cylinder: Aerio

  1. Remove master cylinder reservoir from master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove master cylinder from vehicle. Use illustration for exploded view of master cylinder assembly. See Fig 1.
  2. On ABS vehicles, push primary piston in to remove secondary piston stopper pin from front reservoir hole. Go to step  4.
  3. On non-ABS vehicles, remove piston stopper bolt. Go to next step.
  4. On all models, remove circlip. Remove primary piston. Using compressed air, carefully apply pressure to front reservoir hole to remove secondary piston.
  5. On ABS vehicles, assemble secondary piston in master cylinder with slot facing front reservoir hole. Press both pistons in fully to install stopper pin (ABS) or stopper bolt (non-ABS). Install circlip.
