Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes Using "O/D OFF" Lamp

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Remove steering column hole cover (1).
Using service wire, connect diagnosis switch terminal (3) of monitor connector (2) to ground terminal (4).

Turn ignition switch ON.
Read flashing pattern of "O/D OFF" lamp which represents DTC as shown in example below and write it down.
Example: Shift solenoid "A" control circuit high (DTC 21)

After completing the check, turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect service wire from monitor connector.
