Front Axle Shaft Bearing/Oil Seal: Removal

    NOTE: For removing axle shaft bearing and oil of right side axle shaft assembly, drain differential gear oil. See Fig 1 .
  1. Remove axle shaft assembly. See FRONT AXLE SHAFT  .
  2. Remove left axle shaft (1) by using tire lever (2) or the like. See Fig 2 .
  3. Remove left side strut. See appropriate FRONT article in SUSPENSION.
  4. Remove axle shaft oil seal (1), using plain screwdriver. See Fig 3 .
  5. Remove circlip (2).
  6. Remove axle shaft bearing (1) using the sliding shaft, bearing & oil seal remover. See Fig 4 .
