Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Suzuki XL-7, 2004 Suzuki Vitara, 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara, 2003 Suzuki XL-7, and 2003 Suzuki Vitara. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect and plug brake lines from LSPV. See Fig 1. Remove LSPV together with spring. Remove spring from lever.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply multipurpose grease to upper and lower joints of coil spring. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Adjust LSPV. See LOAD SENSING PROPORTIONING VALVE (GRAND VITARA, VITARA & XL-7 WITHOUT ABS)  under ADJUSTMENTS.
