Cleaning & Inspection

Clean all parts with brake fluid. DO NOT expose rubber parts to alcohol or damage to parts will occur. Inspect caliper bore and piston for wear, damage or rust. Light rust in caliper bore can be removed with crocus cloth or small wire wheel. Replace piston if rusty. DO NOT reuse caliper piston seal and/or dust boot. Replace any worn or defective parts. Check slide bushings and boots for wear. See FigureFigure .
