A/C Compressor & Power Steering Belt

- Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
- Inspect belt for cracks, cuts deformation, wear and cleanliness. If any defect exists, replace belt.
- Check that belt is free from any damage and properly fitted in pulley groove.
- Check belt tension. Belt tension deflection ("b") should be .16-.28" (4-7 mm) under 22 Lbs. (100 N) of pressure. See Figure .
