Test Description

Canister purge vacuum switch is normally closed when no vacuum is present. When ignition is on there should not be any vacuum (purge) present in the EVAP system. - 3
This step determines if PCM is able to control EVAP purge solenoid valve. - 4
This step determines if DTC will set under conditions present when DTC was originally set. If not fault is intermittent. - 5
This step checks for a grounded EVAP purge solenoid driver circuit, a faulty EVAP vacuum switch, or a leaking EVAP purge solenoid valve.
