Diagnostic Aids

Check for faulty connections or damaged harness. Observe a voltmeter connected to 58X CKP sensor reference circuit at PCM harness connector while moving all related harnesses and connectors. A change in voltage indicates fault location. Reviewing FAILURE RECORDS vehicle mileage since last failure may help determine how often condition that caused failure occurred, and may assist in diagnosing problem.
