Check for poor connection at PCM. Inspect harness connectors for backed-out terminals, improper mating, broken locks, improperly formed or damaged terminals and poor terminal connection. Observe a voltmeter connected to 58X CKP sensor reference circuit at PCM harness connector while moving all related harnesses and connectors. A change in voltage indicates fault location. Reviewing FAILURE RECORDS vehicle mileage since last failure may help determine how often condition that caused failure occurred, and may assist in diagnosing problem.
