DTC P0505, DTC P0506 & P0507: Condition

DTC P0505 is set when Idle Air Control (IAC) valve voltage is out of specification for 20 seconds or more. DTC P0506 is set when idle speed is 100 RPM or more, less than target idle speed for 10 seconds. DTC P0507 is set when idle speed is 200 RPM or more than target idle speed for 10 seconds. MIL is illuminated when Engine Control Module (ECM) detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:
- Air intake system malfunction.
- ECM malfunction.
- Engine mechanical.
- IAC valve malfunction.
- IAC valve circuit malfunction.
- Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).
