Removal (Vitara)

WARNING: To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. Oxygen sensor removal should be performed when system is cool.
  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
  2. Remove connector from bracket (3) and disconnect coupler of H02S. See Figure .
  3. Remove exhaust manifold upper cover (2), if necessary. See Figure .
  4. Hoist vehicle when removing H02S-2 (with WU-TWC).
  5. Remove H02S-1 from exhaust manifold.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to expose it to excessive shock. It may cause damage to sensor inside.
