Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor: Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following: Clean mating surfaces of sensor and water outlet pipe. Tighten ECT sensor (1) to specified torque. See Fig 1 and TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Connect connector to sensor securely. Refill cooling system.
- Reverse removal procedure noting the following:
- Clean mating surfaces of sensor and intake manifold.
- Check "O" ring for damage and replace if necessary.
- Tighten ECT sensor to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect coupler to sensor securely.
- Refill cooling system.
- Reverse removal procedure noting the followings:
- Clean mating surfaces of sensor and water outlet cap (2). See Fig 1 .
- Use new "O" ring.
- Tighten ECT sensor to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect coupler to sensor securely.
- Refill cooling system.
