Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Suzuki XL-7, 2003 Suzuki Vitara, 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara, and 2003 Suzuki Aerio. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Reverse removal procedure noting the following:
    • Check to make sure that the CKP sensor is free from any metal particles and damage.
    • Apply engine oil to "O" ring of sensor.
    • Install CKP sensor to cylinder block with specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.

  1. Reverse removal procedure noting the following:
    • Check to make sure that CKP sensor is free from any metal particles and damage.
    • Apply engine oil to "O" ring of sensor.
    • Install CKP sensor (1) to cylinder block (2). See Fig 1 and TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
    • Connect connector and fix wire harness with clamp securely.
