Removal (Grand Vitara & XL-7)

  1. Hoist vehicle.
  2. Remove EVAP canister (1) with its bracket (2). See Figure .
  3. Disconnect tank hose, purge hose and refuel vapor control valve hose from EVAP canister. For quick joint, disconnect it as follows:
    • Remove mud or rust around joint by blowing compressed air, and push joint fully in arrow direction.
    • Disconnect hose joint while joint lock is unlocked by pushing both sides of joint.
  4. Remove EVAP canister bolts.
  5. Disconnect air valve hose from EVAP canister.
