Removal (Lancer)

Knock sensor is located on left side of cylinder block, near starter. See Fig 1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove intake manifold stay retaining bolts. Remove intake manifold stay. See Figure. Disconnect knock sensor harness connector. Remove knock sensor using Knock Sensor Socket (MD998773).
