Removal & Installation (Montero)

  1. Remove second (middle) seat. See Fig 1. Remove access hole cover (upper side) and packing located under second seat. Remove rear scuff plate, anchor bolts for outer seat belt (second) and mounting screws of lower quarter trim. Pull back carpet. Remove access hole cover and packing located between front seat and second seat. Disconnect harness connector. See Fig 2. Unscrew mounting nut to remove fuel level sensor.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
