Removal & Installation (Eclipse, Galant, Lancer & Outlander)

Engine coolant temperature sensor is located in back of cylinder head. See Fig 1-Fig 4 . Loosen radiator drain plug and remove radiator cap to discharge coolant. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor, being careful not to damage connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten engine coolant temperature sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
