Removal (Eclipse & Galant)

- Drain fuel tank into suitable container. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Raise and support vehicle. Unbolt center exhaust pipe at rear of catalytic converter and at front of muffler. Remove center exhaust pipe. See Figure or Figure .
- Remove evaporator hose. Disconnect body harness. See Figure. Disconnect hose. Remove purge hose and vapor hose. Remove vent hose and filler hose. Remove pipe assembly and band assembly. Remove fuel tank assembly.
