Removal & Installation (Diamante, Lancer, Montero, Montero Sport & Outlander)

Fuel tank leveling valve is located in rear of fuel tank, on top side. See Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure or Figure .
To replace fuel tank leveling valve, remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK . Remove fuel tank leveling valve nuts. Remove fuel tank leveling valve from fuel tank.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check for any fuel leaks and repair as necessary.
