Eclipse, Galant & Montero Sport

Locate and disconnect fuel pump relay. On Eclipse, fuel pump relay is located in underhood fuse/relay box. See Figure. On Galant, fuel pump relay is located behind driver's side instrument panel side cover. See Figure. On Montero Sport, fuel pump relay is located behind passenger's kick panel. See Fig 1. On all models, start engine. Allow engine to operate until it stalls. Turn ignition off. Reinstall fuel pump relay after repairs are completed.
