Removal (Montero & Montero Sport)

- Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove intake manifold plenum. See INTAKE MANIFOLD PLENUM under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
- Disconnect fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Disconnect fuel return line from fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect high pressure fuel line from fuel rail. Label and disconnect fuel injector harness connectors.
- Remove fuel crossover pipe retaining bolts. Remove fuel crossover pipe. Remove retaining bolts from fuel rails. Remove fuel rails and insulators.
